Background

North Perth Primary School last held a Fete in 2006.

By all measures, it was a significant success for the School, the families whose children attend, and the Community. In all, we raised more than $20,000 while re-affirming the deep roots between the community in which we all live and the sparkling youth who, through their the vibrancy, creativity and committment, share a deep pride for the future of our town.

The 2010 North Perth Primary School Fete, based on the theme of Sustainability, will seek to build on these important outcomes, and the on-going work of the School, to create a larger and more benefical Fete.

Project objectives

The objectives of the Fete are to:

• Raise funds for the School to improve the amenities for the students
• Create an inclusive and memorable day for everyone involved in the School and it's broader community
• Celebrate and showcase the talent both within and drawn to support our School
• Encourage a greater awareness of Sustainability, in both environmental and human terms, as a force of enhancing the best from within us all
• Involve as many people as possible from our community to strengthen the ties between us

Scope

To hold a fund-raising day on the 31st of October 2010, operating from 10.00 am until 2.00 pm within the School grounds, offering a range of stalls with items for sale, games, activities, entertainment, and displays, and using, as much as possible practices which encourage sustainable living.

Constraints

All activities, products and displays should be suitable and safe for all members of families.

All School rules shall be adhered to.

Only fun and interesting things are to be included.

Involvement

The Fete Committee with need to involve the following individuals and groups:

• The School Principal
• The School Teachers
• The School Students
• The P&C Community
• The Town of Vincent
• The Businesses who supply the School
• The Businesses who make their living from Families who attend our School
• The Artists and Entertainers who make our Community such an stimulating place to live
• Our Neighbours in North Perth
• Everyone who would like to join with us to celebrate on the day.
